The first impression of this book is everything I have been LONGING for recently. A powerful, desperate FMC with a dark secretive past. Beautiful, gritty, dark atmosphere. Gripping prose. And we haven't even GOTTEN to the rebel prince and the handsome accidentally resurrected boy, yet. If the rest of the book is as good as the first 50 pages I cannot wait to tear through the rest!
