"People lived because she killed"

From the start of the book, we're introduced to Zafira, a huntress.
She is out trying to get some deer for her friend's wedding. While out, she encounters some people the Sultan sent to bring her to him called 'Sarasins' who she escapes by going into a forest that she calls the 'Arz'; Because the Sarasins are afraid of it they do not follow her in. In the forest she 'imagines' a woman telling her she's a 'cursed child' and that Zafira 'will always find her way'.
Which is a foreshadowing of Zafiras powers. A few pages later they mention the 'Prince of Assassin's' AKA Nasir, the other main character.
In chapter 2 we get the point of view of Nasir. He is the son of the current Sultan and is currently out on a job to kill a historian who followed a late Caliph. Before and after killing him Nasir seems like he doesn't exactly LIKE killing but seems a bit indifferent to it. When we see him again in the 4th chapter we learn that he doesn't like his father. The Sultan seems very cruel but Nasir mentions a time that he was nicer, perhaps when his wife was there.
I actually really like this book. It's very unique. In most books that have Arab characters they are usually just from Arabia and moved to the US. I've never seen a book set in Arabia.
The writing is very good and compelling.
And since I haven't yet finished the book, I am interested in seeing what happens next in Ancient Arabia in We Hunt The Flame.
