I started reading and was hooked. I was drawn right into this mysterious world; it’s absolutely captivating! It sounds like a book I’d love to read and thoroughly enjoy.
The writing style is gorgeous. The ideas are wonderful. I’m already invested in the characters; a morally grey Prince and assassin, and a fierce, powerful, defiant Hunter.
The two major characters who narrated the chapters in this extract seem destined to have their paths cross, and when that happens I imagine either a brutal conflict, or a dynamic alliance. Both are dangerous, cunning and trying to survive, no matter the costs. I get a feeling it may follow an enemies to lovers trope which I imagine will make it a popular read, but really I don’t know. The perfect balance of intrigue and uncertainty is crafted in these chapters; it’s the work of someone who knows what they’re doing, and they’re very good at it.
It’s safe to say I will definitely be trying to get hold of a copy as this holds promise to be a fiery, Arabian inspired, masterpiece. I really hope it’s successful as I think it deserves to be a YA staple read!
