WE HUNT THE FLAME easily landed a spot on my favorites shelf. Hafsah's writing kept me turning the pages. Nasir and Zafira's romance had me screaming - I loved that it was a slow burn, even if there was an attraction in the beginning. Although they may seem different, their similarities is what draws them to each other and I know the fantasy genre can be brutal, but I truly hope they find their happily ever after!

One of the aspects that's constantly mentioned when talking about WE HUNT THE FLAME is the "found family" trope. Well, I loved it. There's nothing new about throwing people with varying personalities into a group and having them work together for a cause but it works for a reason. I just wanted them all to go on adventures forever - is that too much to ask? Apparently so since the ending ripped my heart out ...

The story does take a bit to pick up but once it does, I was not able to put it down. I haven't been able to read many larger books recently but I couldn't resist reading this one and look forward to the final book in the series. Albeit, after a bit of an interval because I'm not ready...
