One of the things that I loved about this book was the worldbuilding. It was so lush and beautiful. It draws you in quite easily. In my opinion, the characters were realistic and easy to connect with and root for. The story is a little slow in the beginning but easily begins to pick up the pace. From there, it's impossible to put down.
There is loads of detail in this book. I really like the authors style of writing and their way of describing things. As mentioned before it also has a lush and cultural setting. The book is almost worth reading just for that aspect! This book is deceptive, beautiful, and it even has some political aspects which I really enjoy. The setting is very unique and interesting to read about, I don't think I've read another book with a setting similar to this!
Overall, definitely worth your time to read! I will be looking out for more of the author's works in the future!
