The cover is amazing and is the first thing that made me want to check out this book and see what it was all about. I liked this book, but I guess I didn't really love it. There are a few reasons why I didn't like it as much as I wanted to like it. I would say it doesn't really do anything new or unheard of which is fine, because that can be said about most books if we're honest. That being said, what saved it was the writing. I did enjoy the writing and it flowed and made you feel like you were right in the middle of the story. There is plenty of action and high stakes which kept up the pace of the story but I did feel like some of the characters weren't fleshed out and one in particular was really done dirty. That part seemed like such a waste. Overall the writing was enough to make me want to continue with the series. Anyway, I will definitely be reading the next book.
