I've read this book multiple times at this point, and it still manages to snag my attention and absolutely enthrall me every single time. Hafsah Faizal has an amazing knack for spinning words into magic and helping you feel every minute detail of what is happening with the characters and what they're feeling from their surroundings. I don't feel like I simply open a book to read whenever I pick it up, I feel like I fall into the story and live alongside the characters, breathing each breath with them and struggling to make the same decisions they struggle with. I lost count of the number of passages I marked as my favorites, and the juxtaposition between the first lines of chapters one and two alone was able to bring me to my knees. We Hunt the Flame will forever hold a special place on my shelf of favorite books, as will it's sequel, which is every bit as phenomenal as this one - if you have yet to pick it up, what are you waiting for?!
