With beautiful writing and a story and setting based on ancient Arabia, this is an exciting, moving, and surreal tale of two people who must hide their true selves to protect themselves and their loved ones. The audio book is especially well done with voices for the two main characters. I am a little disappointed in the paperback version because the front cover is shorter than the rest of the book. This is an ongoing trend in publishing, but causes the pages to be compromised and easily damaged. But otherwise, it is a beautiful edition and a great story.
