Overall this book was lovely and the journey they go on was a fun adventure with lovely characters, and the side characters really come into their own.
As this is a duology, I wish there would have been more time spent on the background of the characters (more time seeing Zafira disguised as a man, more missions Nasir had to carry out) because once they are on the adventure Zafira no longer is pressured to disguise herself and this seemed to happen fairly quickly.
