I'm not one to throw out 5 stars but this has definitely been one of them. Enemies to allies to lovers, ancient arabia and found family, all tropes that were done so beautifully. The world building and Faizals lyrical writing hook and immerse you into the story. The dynamic between characters, specifically, Zafira and Nasir. My god do I love their relationship and the slow burn of it all. But they would all risk everything for one another and there's nothing more heartwarming and beautiful than that. They're so easy to root for and going as far as feeling like one of the characters along the journey. A lot of tears and laughs throughout the book which I'm grateful for as YA fantasy tends to be serious and not as lighthearted. An overall wonderful debut and I cannot wait to read more from this author! Check out the sequel, We Free The Stars if you want to see more :)
