Intro= I spent a bit of time looking for this book expecting myself to have post it notes on post it notes of opinions to only have 3 in the entire book. Two of my notes are in the first four chapters. Either way I did not end up liking the book so yeah.
Impression= Liked: It is not a European setting painted brown.
Disliked: It is so devoid of magic that these recent fantasy books feel just like historical fiction, I don't like the court and assassins in fantasy generally because they take the place of the fantastical.
I realized that I am too impatient in terms of fantasy.
