This book, as other have said, has a beautiful cover that draws you in. I wanted to like this book, but after reading the excerpt, I found it just wasn’t for me. I don’t always enjoy fantasy and this one seemed like one that wasn’t in my wheelhouse. It seemed somewhat formulaic, and like many stories I have tried to read in the past. That being said, I will definitely pass on this one.
