From the first line this book captured my attention. I love magical and fantastical books set in the middle east, there is something foreign and exotic about Eastern cultures that make fantasy plausible and it lends itself well to stories like this. I really love the language and world building happening so far and cannot wait to see what happens when Nasir and Zafira cross paths. I love that they seem to be opposite sides of the same coin. Together they will either heal their world or set fire to it. Or both.
