We Hunt the Flame has one of the most stunning covers I've seen on a YA fantasy book, and the interior maps and chapter pages are just as beautiful. It's also exciting to see more representation and another fantasy series set in the Middle East, but nothing about the writing itself is wowing me thus far. The prose is serviceable and the premise seems somewhat derivative. I hope the rest of the book will prove me wrong.
