Not overly impressed but there is potential
While I am interested in the story, I don't care for the main character.
Elizabeth is a journalist, a very busy journalist. The author does a good job of relaying the urgency in Elizabeth's to do list, but I just can't help but dislike her. She's career oriented, interested in exposing hidden truths, but she's not actually interested in the people she's writing about... Perhaps this time will be different. She has distanced herself from her family and has maintained focus on the stories she writes, not the people in them, but now that there's a personal piece in the works, I wonder what she'll do.
