I’m liking the story so far, this journalist discovering an aspect of her family’s past that she knew nothing about, digging into family history can be interesting, and what’s really appealing is that it’s set in Detroit, which is not common in many books, and it’s dealing with difficult subjects like interracial relationships and the riots. As for the cover, while it doesn’t really tell you much about the story, the soft colors really draw me in and would probably entice me to take a look at the book.
