I love a book that has you with a firm impression of how the characters look and sound right from the get go.
The cover pulls you in even before you start reading the story which begins without a lot of preamble. Suddenly there you are right in the thick of it, meeting characters at once familiar and engaging. I don't know this girl but already I am rooting for her and itching to find out what the photos will reveal and who is Aunt Nora?
