I immediately got sucked in- can't wait to finish reading it
I was intrigued from the get go with this book because it is set in a town I am very familiar with. Growing up downriver Detroit, everything that was written in the first chapter puts me back in time to those days.
My parents worked downtown Detroit during those riots, my dad at a Ford plant and my mom for an attorney. Hearing first hand accounts from them about these days is so interesting. Erin so far has done an excellent job capturing those feelings back so long ago that so many experienced.
Cannot wait to get my hands on this book to finish it.
