Good choice for time period and setting

The journalist seems like she is going to have an interesting backstory and family history. I like that it looks like the book is going to explore 1960s Detroit which peaks my interest. I'm curious to see if this is going to lean towards more historical fiction or regular fiction. Either way I'd like to find out what happens in the story.
