ðŸ’I really enjoyed reading this collection of biographical short stories about women of color. I hadn’t heard of a lot of these women and it was really interesting to read about their accomplishments and how they succeeded in the face of racism and prejudice. It was very inspiring and I definitely plan on looking into these women’s stories a bit more. I enjoyed the short chapters in this one because it held my attention, but I’d definitely like to learn more about some of the women in this book. I hope she does another volume, because these stories were so inspiring and I felt like I learned so much. The book is very well put together with beautiful illustrations as well. I loved looking at all the pictures and the quality was really nice. I highly recommend it if you want to read about some real life empowering women!
