I'll start this off by saying I am a Bi POC, black and hispanic, but I didn't really feel for the way this was written. I wasn't too into it, and feel like there's such a broad spectrum of POC women that not all of them could get historical justice in the span of the novel. However it seems a good introduction into powerful women of color, if you are new to th idea.
