I love reading about inspirational women, their backgrounds and the struggles and achievements behind these women. I love how this book highlights individuals that you might have heard of but didn't go any deeper. It is not just centered around African American women but all women of color which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The little quotes from each woman are relatable. Gabby Rivera had one such quote that hit me, "“Your work is to heal, to love yourself, to find all the things that you need
