"We Go High" by Nicole Ellis is a well thought out book, that includes an eclectic group of women of color. Ms. Ellis does an amazing job of providing details of her subjects, that made me as the reader, step back and take note. In all honesty, some of the subjects I was familiar with, others not.
Ms. Ellis' book will be a great read for anyone interested in having a better understanding of the struggles faced by women of color. This book would also be a great read for YA readers and women of color.
As a retired teacher, I feel that this book would make an excellent addition to middle school/high school classroom and school libraries.
