When I read the title of the book, I knew it would be interesting! I have to say that the art throughout the book really added a lot, and was beautifully done. Reading Amanda Gorman's, Kehlani's, and Gabby Rivera's stories was an experience. I think the author did a good job of using direct quotes from the women themselves to tell their stories, and they truly were inspiring. I don't typically stay updated in regard to pop culture, so I had not heard of these three women, but their stories were moving, and I look forward to learning about more inspiring women. I also liked that the titles of their works were included, so I can explore those myself. Overall, this excerpt seems promising, and I can't wait to read the rest of the book!
