I think it's so wonderful that this book is being published. So many girls of color aren't seeing themselves represented in the curriculum at school, and this leads to them not trying for certain fields or not reaching their fullest potential. After reading the first look, I think that this book should be required reading in every school. The book includes stories about women of color who achieved great things despite setbacks in their lives. I can't wait to continue reading and learn more about people whose accomplishments are in the news, but that have personal lives that are less known.
