Learning about your history, falling in love, and solving a mystery. This book will leave you speechless, no doubt. The main character is queer and bi-racial and learning so much about herself in her grandmother’s town. This book is a gorgeous and intricate narrative about reaching out across divides, seeking towards empathy, and understanding and healing. The many twists and revelations with keep you turning the pages and connecting with the characters in a very intimate way.I think this book discusses some very intense things, that deserve to be brought to light, even in a fictional manner. This book was devastatingly beautiful and heart wrenching.
