I am so impressed by this book and immediatley purchased it for the library. It isn't my personal type book so the fact that I was engaged means it is really well written. The other piece to being a librarian is reading so many books that it takes a lot to impress me. I am easily bored and easily annoyed by poorly written stories and so finding one I actually enjoy is unusual. The writting is fabulous and the characters are well rounded and well described. The cover is stunning. It is art. There is depth to the image as well as a pop of modern making it a real winner of a cover. The first time I heard about this book was in a Booklist magazine so I already knew it was getting some buzz and after reading this short bit I know it deserves the hype. It is not the type of book I would buy for myself but it is going to be in the library and I can't wait to share it with patrons.
