The cover on this one is pretty--It would make me take a second glance in a bookstore, though YA literature isn't something I enjoy. The voice of the sample is good (the grandmother has an angry fierceness that I liked), but for another coming of age novel, I'm not sure this felt different from anything else on the market right now. And seeing the word COVID anywhere in books is an instant "put it down and read something else" at the moment for me.
