Upon reading the first look, I can already tell that this book is going to be one that stays with you. It’s going to be one of those books that you can never forget because of the impact it has. It reminds me of books like “The Hate U Give” that bring to life social justice and racial violence.
I feel like this book will be hauntingly sad but beautiful too when the romance between Avery and Simone blossoms. Knowing that the town will not approve of their relationship and something insidious lurks makes me a bit frightful for what these two will have to experience to find out the truth.
