We Deserve Monuments is as lovely inside as it is on the outside. Like the beautiful illustrated cover, the prose sparkles and pulls you into the story. The set up of family secrets and a simmering background mystery is really compelling. It’s hard to believe this is Jas Hammonds first novel. Avery Anderson feels like a fully rounded character and very relatable. I’ll definitely be reading more of this when it comes out!
