I was not too sure to expect when I started to read this novel, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by it. This novel centers around 17 year old Avery Anderson who moves into the home of her terminally ill grandmother Mama Letty. This move unearths a lot of old drama between Avery's mother and her grandmother, which leaves Avery wanting to learn more about her family. I really like Avery's character and the style of the author's writing. I think a lot of people are going to enjoy this book. The cover of the novel is also very nice as well.
