Before this was offered here, someone I know read and ARC and gushed about how powerful the book was. It probably is a powerful read, but I don’t think I’m the right reader for it. I’m tired of simplified writing. I know this is a young adult book and I understand why this writing style was used, but it just doesn’t draw me in.
