Avery is moved to a new town, a new school, a new neighborhood before a new school year in high school. The new town is nothing like her home in DC, and her grandmother's blunt demeanor isn't any more welcoming. The dialogue is clear and strong and draws me in, and I'm rooting for Avery to stay strong in herself and get to know all these new people.
