I like the cover of the book and the synopsis drew me in. When I started reading, I was hooked. The prose is excellent and the author is excellent at drawing you into Avery’s head quickly. Sometimes YA writers don’t write the adult characters well, but I am also invested in all four adults I have read in the first impression. This is definitely a book I would buy.
