This book struck me immediately from the beautiful cover to the powerful title, We Deserve Monuments. I cannot wait to read more and discover where the title comes from. A city girl moving to the south, leaving behind the life she knows and struggling to fit in in a new environment. Family drama, and I'm sensing some family secrets as well. The writing is captivating and from the first page I want to read more. I'm very curious to see where this book is heading and would love to read more.
