I've heard so many amazing accolades about this book, I'm way too excited to read this, and the excerpt did not disappoint! As someone who moved from an exciting, big city populace, to the deep south, I know this culture shock is intense and I feel like this is going to be such an important read. Avery also has such a unique point of view that is just made to clash with the new place she's moved to. Also, I am so hooked on all the potential family secrets happening here. I can't wait to read this book!
