I picked up this new novel by Tracey Lange “We Are The Brennan’s” anticipating a usual run of the mill family drama similar to “We Were The Mulvaneys” from years past. However, I wasmpleasantlynsurprisedmtomfi d myself completely immersed in this well written and emotional family drama. A single event event in the life of Sunday Brennan catapults the entire Irish Catholic Brennan family to face their past, secrets and mistakes before it can threaten their entire futures. This wasn’t difficult novel to put down, causing several nights where I stayed awake far too long reading “just one more page”.
A wonderful family story encompassing the all too true nature of most families, the imperfect, painful and shameful parts with the absolute ability to triumph with love and forgiveness. A debut novel that is sure to become a best seller.
