This was a nice break from the norm for me. A family drama that is told from all sides. It is refreshing, sad, sweet, and real.

This is the story of the Brennans - an Irish family who seems to be perfection, but with members who all carry secrets, lies, and challenges. And they catch up to them over and over again.

I really liked how each chapter carries over to the next with the last thing a character said in the chapter before - and the perspective changes to that character each time. It was a cool way to push the story along and also switch the dynamic at the same time.

I also really enjoyed that this is kind of a love story, but it’s more about what a family is and should be.

There is kind of a mystery in there as well, but it wasn’t really the kind where you are guessing - it seemed pretty apparent who did it and why… but it did add an element to the story that made it more exciting.
