The writing of this book was really good and the book had seamless narrator changes, and the character development was really good I just could never really get into the book. There are plenty of positive reviews for this book but it just was not one of my favorites to read and I haven’t recommended anyone I know to read it. It was a very underwhelming book for me and I kept catching myself thinking maybe something in the next chapter will catch my interest, but that never came.
I liked the idea of a messed up family where everyone had secrets and they all came together where there would be drama, but the drama was underwhelming. It was hard to pay attention to the book. Usually at the end of books it starts to pick up but the ending was very anti-climatic. This book wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. It’s right in the middles as an “ok” read for me.
