When I first read the blurb I thought it is a suspense. But I was wrong and pleasantly wrong. We are the Brennans is a story of a tight knit Irish family. And there is drama. Surprisingly, I liked the characters and the chemistry between them. I like books that have different POV and this story is said from multiple viewpoints. A single event causes the family to face their past and secrets. The books was read at a steady pace. The ending was a bit flat and sort of predictable. A family will do what it needs to do to keep the itself happy and safe. Tracy Lange did a great job of weaving characters, keeping the characters connected and keeping the chapters fluid. Even though there is an air of mystery around, I know I will read this book again. Thank you BookishFirst for the ARC. I cannot wait to read more from Tracy Lange. Highly recommended !!!!.
