The Brennan’s are a tight knit family, but they are far from being perfect! Nevertheless, I totally fell in love with Kale and Sunday. These characters are real and have real problems. Sunday suddenly leaves her hometown five years earlier, leaving her boyfriend behind without an explanation. Five years later, she is back due to a bit of bad luck and bad decision making. Sunday is harboring a secret that becomes more and more involved as the story unfolds. As the family struggles to open a new bar/ restaurant, more and more pieces to the entwined plot become made known. Even though they might not be the best people, I find myself rooting for them. Not your typical happy ending, but this ending blew me away! I am begging for a sequel! The ending was perfect, but now I want to know more! If the Brennan’s lived in my hometown, I’m not exactly sure if we’d be friends, but they would definitely intrigue me!
