This is a family drama full secrets and of course, drama. I read it without knowing anything about it and I'm glad I did!
Although it's a debut, I hope to read more from this author in the future!
I felt connected to the characters and often thought about them even when I wasn't reading. I listened to the audiobook and couldn't wait to keep listening each time I had to stop.
The story alternates between narrators and I think the format really enhances this particular story! It deals with siblings, parents, family bonds, secrets, love, forgiveness, and understanding. There are a few topics that would be considered trigger warnings, so I would definitely look into those before reading if that's something you like to know before reading a book.
The growing Irish family that has a family pub is the heart of the story and I hope you grow to love the Brennans too!
