4.5 stars for this book! I really loved a lot about this story. From the small things like how each chapter ended with the phrase that would open the next chapter, to big things like the whole messy, complicated family that this story revolves around. The writing is fantastic and I flew through this story in less than 24 hours. It kept me engaged and wanting to come back for more the minute I put the book down. There was just enough conflict, secrecy and resolution to make the story resonate.
I appreciated the family dynamics - there were a few characters who could have used some more fleshing out, but overall, there was a good level of detail in keeping the main characters the main characters without letting such a large cast overrun the book and make it more complicated than it needed to be.
I was not a huge fan of the fact that Sunday coming back made Kale decide to leave his marriage. I get that it's all part of the complicated relationships and storyline, but I still don't like how that part was "resolved".
