Great Read!
The writing style for this first book by Tracey Lange worked great and helped the story flow smoothly in my opinion. The chapters jumped from one character to another, but always in direct connection to the previous chapter (usually with something said by a character).
I feel the author did a great job with character development as I continued to learn more and more about each character as the story progressed. My favorite character is Kale actually, who is not a Brennan, but grew up with the family from a young age because he lived close by.
This close knit Irish family has many secrets which were slowly revealed as I progressed through the book. The intrigue started early on in the book when I learned that the youngest member and only daughter was living in CA instead of NY with the rest of the family because she was escaping something from her past. She gets into a car accident and calls her brother Denny, who talks her into returning to NY to recover.... from there I learned many, many more family secrets. I read the book in three settings!
