This book really pulled me in throughout the first twenty pages that I sampled. I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened and what will happen to the Brennan family. There's a lot of drama going on and a lot of mystery to solve. The characters are likeable and I'm interested to find out about the other two siblings. Some questions that arose for me were "What was the cause of their mother's death?," "What made Sunday want to move across the country five years ago?," "Why did Denny's wife choose to leave him?," "Why can't Denny pay back his business loan?," "What's the beef between Kale and Sunday?" The writing style was informal - very quick and easy to read. Overall, I would rate the excerpt I read 4/5 stars so far. The storyline is a little something different than I've read this year and the book would be a nice addition to my reading list.
