Thank you to Bookish First and Celadon Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. I simply devoured this book. The storyline engaged me from the very beginning. I really enjoyed Sunday and Denny’s character as well as the whole dysfunction of their Irish-Catholic family. Sunday’s background story kept me wanting to know more and I was glad to finally learn the truth about why she fled to California years ago. I definitely am hoping that Sunday and Kale end up together, as I had been pulling for that the entire book.
My only gripe to the book would be its ending. I feel like it abruptly ended even though I suspected that would be how to conclusion would go. I just felt there could have been a few more details given. All in all, I think this will be a highly successful debut novel with this author.
