This is a family drama based around the Brennan's, a close-knit Irish American family living in NY. The Brennan's have their share of family secrets and drama but like most Irish families they are always there for one another. I loved the bond between the Brennan siblings and Kale.
I loved that this book was told from multiple points of view. I really enjoyed getting to know each character and their perspective throughout the story. It's rare to like every single character in a book but I loved them all.
This story highlighted the fact that no family is as they appear. The Brennan's appeared to the outside world to be this perfect family but in fact every character had a secret they were hiding. The ending was a tad flat and predicable but I still enjoyed the story. I also felt like certain parts of the book were long and slow and then other parts felt too rushed. I definitely recommend reading this book.
