Y'all, family secrets, family drama and a love story thrown in is completely my jam. Sunday Brennan wakes up in a LA hospital, injured after crashing her car while driving drunk. She soon returns to her family in New York, revisiting past secrets. I don't want to share too much and spoil things but there is shame, redemption, revenge, infidelity in this novel. The Brennans are a tight-knit Irish Catholic family that sometimes gets a little too involved in each other's business, while still showing each other how much they love each other. Lots of cozy pub vibes, high school sweetheart rep.
Recommended if you enjoy family dramas, family secrets and a clandestine love story. I didn't want to leave the Brennans by the end of it. Some comps for this book would be The Most Fun We Ever Had, Ask Again Yes, The Last Romantics. Highly recommended!
