AMAZING! When I read the first couple of chapters, I thought this was going to be a thriller. Boy was I wrong! It’s about a family that is so close-knit, that they all take care of each other in some way or another. Something happens to the only female sibling in the family though, and it causes her to just up and leave one day to L.A. She doesn’t go back until she is involved in a terrible accident after she had been drinking heavily one night. The only emergency contact she had was her older brother and he convinces her to go back to help care for her elderly father and younger brother with mental disabilities. The past keeps haunting her though after all these years and now she is faced with the horrible task of going back home after 5 years and facing everyone she left behind. This book had such terrific character building and the author makes it to where you feel like you’re sitting at the kitchen table with this family!
