It was an interesting family story with a lot of Irish heritage mixed in (which I loved). And there was also quite a lot of mystery throughout that kept me guessing. Why did main character, Sunday, move across the country so abruptly 5 years ago? Why did Sunday and her brother, Jackie, get so weird at the mention of the name “Billy Walsh?” What really happened on opening night of the new pub?

I liked that the story was told from multiple POVs because it kept things interesting and built upon the previously mentioned mystery. Also, the author would start each chapter with the last sentence said in the previous chapter and then switch to that person’s POV, which I thought was clever.

I wasn’t blown away by the book, but it was a quick read with a good overall plot and entertaining characters. I would give this one a 3.5, but it was teetering between that and a 4.
